Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Kogent account and personal data at any time. Deletion is carried out by the Kogent server you signed in to, takes effect immediately, and applies to every device you have used.

How to delete it

• In the app. Open Me, tap Delete account, and confirm. This is the fastest route and takes effect at once.
• By email. If you cannot get into the app, email pratul@kogent.ai from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. Tell us which server you use Kogent with so the request reaches the right place.

What is erased

• Your account identity — email address, display name and profile.
• Content that is private to you: your personally-owned records, and your personal workspace along with everything scoped to it.
• Every session, so no existing sign-in survives. The erased identity is recorded so that a token issued before the deletion cannot quietly recreate the account.
• Every registered push token, so no device can receive notifications for the account.

What is anonymised instead

Content you authored in shared team spaces — records, comments and change history — is not deleted, because deleting it would remove other people's work and the history their work depends on. It is reassigned to a system placeholder author, so it survives without being attributed to you.

The one exception: records under a legal hold

Teams on a regulated plan can turn on compliance mode, which places their audit history under a retention obligation we are not free to break. If you have acted in such a workspace, the audit entries naming you are retained, and your identity is pseudonymised rather than erased: personally identifying fields are scrubbed, all access and membership is revoked, and what remains is a reference with no personal data in it. Accounts with no compliance-mode history are erased outright.

Timing

The deletion itself is immediate. Copies of audit data held by our internal services are queued for erasure in the same transaction and retried until they succeed, so an outage can delay that step but cannot skip it.
